Free pattern: Detour Diaper Bag

January 29, 2010 by Anne Weaver

Head over to Make Baby Stuff for a free pattern for their “Detour Diaper Bag”.  Check out those angled pockets!  Any hip mama would be proud to carry one of these.  Go to the free pattern.

Diaper bags are like the “tricks of the trade” kit. If you have a baby, you can not leave home without it. Choosing a diaper bag can be quite complex as you need to select one that meets all your individual needs. My best advice about sewing your own Nappy or diaper bag is POCKETS! and lot’s of them, they can be on the outside or the inside it doesn’t matter.

Looking for more diaper bag patterns to sew? Check out these sewing patterns for Diaper bags and totes that we found over on Etsy.

    Yay, thanks for posting this!

Easy Cosmetics Bag Sewing Pattern

The bag is simple, uses very little fabric (about 2/3rds of a fat quarter), has no fussy inside pockets (although you can add your own if you like), and takes me well less than 30 minutes to print the pattern, cut out and sew. But quick and simple doesn’t mean it’s not awesome!

It’s the sort of bag that is versatile enough to be used for lots of applications, not just cosmetics and toiletries. Keep all your pens and pencils in order, use it for a small first aid kit for the car, keep it in your desk at work for a few headache pills and other personal supplies.

Make some for yourself, for gifts or to sell.
